WPL Round 3 - April 6 2008

AWSV v Keilor
Seyma has a shot
In an entertaining match at Ashburton Park Ashburton the home side found some of the form that carried them into last year's finals. Ashy dominated possession for the first 30 minutes of the first half and had many more  corners and shots at goal. With the strong wind favoring Ashy the game was virtually played in one half of the ground. At half time the score was 2:0 to Ashy with goals to Meghan Archer and Seyma Erenli.
The second half was more competative with Keilor having several quality shots at goal with 2 hitting the crossbar. For Ashy Tet Michail was impressive all day and she saved 3 certain goals with amazing saves. Meghan Archer scored again for Ashburton in the second half, however Keilor dominated the last 15 minutes of the match and were unlucky not to get a score on the board.

In the reserves Ashburton defeated Keilor 3:0 and maintained its long unbeaten run.
