On Saturday afternoon at DISC another tight contest saw Ashburton prevail 1-0 over fourth-placed Eltham North. Ashburton, after failing to convert at least half a dozen gilt-edged chances, finally found a breakthrough with only minutes remaining when Amy Jackson nodded home the game’s decisive goal. The win sees Ashburton extend its advantage over Eltham to six points and puts it in a strong position to claim a double-chance come finals time.

Meanwhile the reserves continued on their winning way winning 5:1 with great contributions from U16 team members Azize Erenli and Natalia Chorobczk.
