Ashburton
bounced back from its first
loss of the season last week
with a 2-1 home win over
sixth-placed Sandringham.
Scores were locked at one
goal apiece at half time,
but Ashburton added a second
after the break to claim its
seventh win of the season.
Annabelle Gibney and Seyma
Erenli were once again on
target for the home side
while Michelle Parton scored
for Sandringham. Ashburton
stays second, two points
ahead of Box Hill, while
Sandringham hangs on to
sixth, one point ahead of
the revitalised Comets.
Meanwhile the
reserves continued their
unbeaten run with a 3:2
score over Sandringham and
the State 2 team continued
their own winning sequence
with a 3:2 result over
Springvale South.
