Amy Jackson’s
second half goal consigned
Casey to its second straight
defeat as Ashburton emerged
1-0 winners in a tight
contest at Ashburton Park.
Ashburton remains the only
side in the league yet to
concede a goal after another
weekend of big scores in the
WPL. It holds down second
place, nipping at the heels
of ladder-leader Box Hill,
while the Comets are very
much in uncharted waters,
languishing in ninth.

Meanwhile the
reserves trounced the Casey
Comets with ten unanswered
goals and like the seniors
have yet to have a goal
kicked against them.
Next Friday
night's visit to Wembley
stadium should give an
indication of how the season
will unfold. This match will
be a great contest and the
club would like to see as
many Ashy players and
parents attend to support
both teams.
