All amateur sporting clubs Australia-wide face increasing difficulties in providing their members with even the necessities. Ashburton Women's Soccer Club is no different.
AWSC has had outstanding success in the last three years with the senior women's team playing off in the finals of the State “Premier League” competition - the highest level of Women's soccer in Victoria - a great honour and a fantastic tribute to the surrounding community.
AWSC is a young rapidly growing club and now the largest Women’s soccer club in Victoria. The club expects to have over twelve women and girls teams this year - close to 200 players from the ages of 8 through to adults. In addition there are a further 400 juniors and men playing soccer with Ashburton Soccer Club. Women's and girls' soccer is the growth sport for women in Victoria and will soon be the major winter outdoor female sport.
To continue its success in the Victorian Premier Division and the necessary development of its junior players, AWSC is looking for the strongest support from corporate and local businesses.
